Reimbursement for EMT Training for volunteer EMS

Each Volunteer EMS service shall be allowed to be reimbursed up to Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000) or the actual cost of new recruit training, whichever is less.

In order for a volunteer EMS Service to be eligible for reimbursement, the following information must be provided to the Cleburne County Clerk’s Office by 4:30 PM on December 9th of the current year:

  1. A cash receipt showing the volunteer EMS service has paid for the new recruit training.

  2. Proof of completion of training and certification. This can be through either copy of Training Certification or Copy of Certification Number with the Arkansas Department of Health; and,

  3. A signed and executed agreement that trainee has agreed and committed to serving (1) year on the volunteer EMS department that has sponsored and funded the trainee during the training program.

If all of the required documentation has been provided to the County Clerk’s Office in the prescribed time period, the County Clerk will issue a reimbursement.

 *No volunteer EMS service receives more than Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000) per new trainee.

* No volunteer EMS service shall receive more than Six Thousand Dollars ($6,000) per year in total training reimbursement under this           Ordinance.

*Training must be completed during December 1st of the previous year through November 30th of the current year.

*This is Cleburne County funded and the volunteer service must be from Cleburne County.
